Silly Bands

Have you seen all the kids wearing these "Silly Bands?" Apparently, they are all the craze amongst kids these days. I thought it was ridiculous until my mom reminded me of all the stupid stuff that I "had to have" as a kid. (anyone remember trolls, koosh balls, friendship bracelets?)

Anyway, Piper hadn't really been to hip to the craze, and had never asked for any or really even paid attention to them when we have seen them in the different shops.

That was until today...

Apparently, the girl that babysat them last night while mom and I went to the consignment sale had some on, and Piper got to look at all of them.

Now she is hooked....

On the way to drop her off at school today I had to run into Walgreens to pick up some pictures that she needed for an art project at school. The pictures were only .89 cents and all I had was my check card... and apparently they won't run an .89 cent charge so I told Piper to pick out some candy. As, she was looking for the candy she saw the "Silly Bands."

I'm sure at that point that everyone in the store was now aware that Walgreens carried "Silly bands" because she was screaming "Silly Bands, Silly Bands.... Mommy look!!!! Silly Bands!!!!!!" and jumping up in down.

So, I told her to pick out one pack. The whole way to school she was pulling them out, naming what the shapes were and piling them onto her arm. I must add that she impressed me when she pulled out one and said "Look, it's a sea lion" and sure enough... it was. Sometimes, that child is almost too smart for her own good!

Anyway, here she is with all of her "Silly Bands"
