The Big Reveal

So, as many of you know, we have been playing "fruit basket turnover" at our house preparing for the new baby.

Mike's workshop is becoming Piper's "Big Girl" room. The bonus room is becoming Mike's workshop/Movie room/Piper's playroom. And the library is becoming the library/computer room. Did I confuse you???

So, to put it mildly our house is out of order at the present time.

This weekend Mike and I (I include myself but really I come up with the idea, and Mike is the executer, love ya babe!) have committed ourselves to finishing Piper's room. We sent her over to Gram's and Papa's house today to be entertained (thanks Grams and Megan!) while we got work done.

Even though she is aware that we have been working on getting her a big girl room and she has seen most of the stuff, we wanted to surprise her by putting it all together.

We got enough accomplished today that Piper is going to attempt to sleep in her "big girl" bed. Here are some of the pics from the big reveal today.

I think that we are going to have to get her a stepping stool to help her get on the bed.

In these pictures the room looks almost peach colored but it's actually two shades of pink.

She is definitely digg'n the room. We went out to dinner tonight and she kept on telling us that she wanted to go back to her "princess room".

We still have some work to do in there so I won't post pictures of the room till everything is finished but I thought you could enjoy the pictures of Piper's reaction to the room.

Wish us luck that the sleeping in the "big girl" bed works out for us tonight!
